Twenty years ago, my mom purchased an aerobics video. One night at my parents’ home, I decided to work out to this video. Immediately, I became hooked to exercise. Over the next several years, I purchased an elliptical trainer, a treadmill, a yoga mat, and three sets of dumbbells. Besides utilizing these items during my workouts, I also began using common household items to help me get fit. For example, when my dumbbells weren’t nearby, I grabbed cans of food or full water bottles to complete strength training exercises with. I also did triceps dips using my couch.
